Everyone that tries to get a ticket to a popular music concert knows how hard it is. Very hard. For example, getting a ticket (at a fair price) to one of the concerts on the next Coldplay tour is almost impossible. You can get tickets on Viagogo or StubHub, but they will be costly. So don’t buy your tickets on Viagogo, StubHub, or any other tickets online that don’t have any supervision on the prices. Just don’t. It’s too risky and much too expensive.

How to get a ticket to a sold-out concert
So, this post is about your best chance to get reasonably priced tickets to popular music concerts that are sold out. This chance is an App – Ticketswap. So, if you are looking for tickets to Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, or any other musician, the tickets for their concerts sold out ages ago, you probably will find one at a reasonable price in Ticketswap.
What is Ticketswap app?
TicketSwap is an app (and a website) where people re-sell their tickets. But they can sell it for only 20% more than the price that they bought the ticket. So if you purchased a ticket for 100$, you could sell it for 120$ tops (or less). It’s fair, unlike Viagogo. In Viagogo, people can ask for any price; usually, it’s a rip-off!
Personally, if I couldn’t get a ticket to a concert’s first sale, I immediately open Ticketswap app and set it to send me notifications for re-sell tickets for this concert.
How to buy or sell tickets in Ticketswap
I bought tickets through Ticketswap (usually two or four for each concert) for more than twenty concerts in Europe (mainly in Amsterdam, where I live, and by the way, it’s also where Ticketswap based ). Finding the ticket and purchasing it through Ticketswap was always easy and cost-effective relative to other options available (viagogo and so). it’s good to mention that the fees that Ticketswap fees are fair and transperents to the buyer.
I also sold tickets on Ticketswap. From the seller’s side, it’s easy. I always succeed in selling my tickets; they charge fair fees, and the money is deposited in the bank quickly.
Let's tests it: Ticketswap vs. Viagogo
Here is an ad-hoc case study about Kendrick Lamar’s concert in Amsterdam on the 7th of October 2022 (Ye baby, it’s coming). Unfortunately, tickets sold out months ago.
In Ticketswap it was easy to find a ticket in a good seating spot for 89EURO (section 105, row 3). Via Viagogo, the same ticket (section 105, row 4) 176EURO. Double than Ticketswap!
Another example is Coldplay concerts (July 2023). The journey to find tickets for Coldplay concerts can be exhausting, but it also can provide a good understanding of how bad Viagogo is or why Ticketswap is excellent.
There are four Coldplay concerts in Amsterdam at Johan Cruijff arena (Ajax stadium). All sold out quickly. There is limited availability when you look for a ticket in Ticketswap, but I found a platinum ticket (Section 406, Row 10) in 335EURO. Now listen to this, in viagogo, almost the same ticket (even slightly less good – Section 406, Row 20) will cost, I hope you are seating, 1063EURO. So three times more, more than 1000EURO, and you can still keep the change.
I can go on and on, but it’s worthless. You will get the same result every time in every concert.
Bottom-line
The bottom line is that if you are after a ticket to some sold-out music concert, check Tickerswap first. Don’t fall into the trap of Viagogo or other websites like viagogo that exist as a tickets jungle and will rip you off. The world needs more people selling their tickets on Ticketswap, and in general, it needs more apps/websites that work under the fair and transparency principles like Ticketswap.
